Summer Reading Challenge
Each summer, as part of the Conant Summer Reading Program, we ask children to keep a list of the books they have read during the break.
This year we have come up with a new summer reading challenge that Mrs. Smith shared with all of the children in the library. The challenge and more information will be sent home with the students and can be downloaded! Click here for the kindergarten to grade 3 challenge and/or click here grades 4-6 challenge.
Reading during the summer is very important in helping children maintain and enhance their academic skills, continue to develop critical comprehension and thinking skills, and is also a great way to relax. Please encourage your child to read for the fun and enrichment that reading provides!
Children who participate in the Conant Summer Reading Program will receive both a Certificate of Achievement and a Conant 2019 keychain. The keychain style is different each year so many children have a Conant keychain collection!
When school begins in the fall, please have your child(ren) return log sheet(s) to their new teacher no later than Friday, September 6, 2019. We hope that you have a wonderful and safe summer!
Happy Reading!
